We are excited to announce that Middlebury has acquired an institution-wide license for NVivo 12. NVivo is a powerful qualitative data analysis (QDA) software program that allows users to store, organize, and analyze large data sets.
With NVivo, users can:
- collect and store different kinds of research data such as audio & video files, images and text, in one project file
- organize and visualize large data sets in multiple ways such as network sociograms, word clouds, and tree maps
- capture social media data from sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
- import citations from bibliographic management software such as Zotero, Mendeley, and EndNote
- perform text analyses in Chinese (simplified), English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish
