The Office of Digital Learning & Inquiry along with Middlebury Institute Language Studies and Translation & Localization Management programs are co-hosting a campus visit with Wiki Education outreach manager Samantha Weald. The mission of Wiki Edu is to connect higher education with the Wikipedia community to ensure that the world’s most read source of digital information is more representative, accurate, and complete. Wiki Edu is also a key partner on the Newspapers on Wikipedia “Now” Project, part of DLINQ’s Information Environmentalism initiative.
Join us for an informal brown bag conversation to learn more about Wiki Education, ways to get involved as a teacher, and to explore how the Middlebury’s distinctive approach to language education, translation, and localization might inspire new ideas for integrating Wikipedia into course assignments.
This is a learning and idea-sharing session. No technical skills or technology required!
For those unable to join us on campus, we will be supporting remote attendance via Zoom.
