DLINQ invites Middlebury faculty to participate in a J-Term Faculty Explorers group to try out, and provide feedback on, a new set of design tools available in Canvas. DesignPLUS tools provide more options for adding visual design elements to Canvas courses, as well as streamlined creation and updating of Modules and assignment due dates. As a Faculty Explorer, you’ll help us to identify how the DesignPLUS toolkit can best be leveraged by faculty to support teaching and learning at Middlebury.

To get a sneak peak of the new features, take a look at the DesignPLUS User Guide, a sample page created by DesignPLUS, or the What Can Design Tools Do For You? video.

What will I need to do to participate? During the month of January, you’ll be invited to participate in a shared Canvas sandbox space where you can test out the new tools and share your work with other Faculty Explorers, with examples and resources to support your exploration. DLINQ staff will also be available to work with you via weekly, scheduled Zoom sessions, to help you learn more about the different design options available. We ask that participants:

  • participate in one Zoom session with DLINQ staff, and
  • complete a brief survey.

I’m in! How do I get involved? Please fill out this form to indicate your interest. We will be in touch before the end of the year with details about enrolling in the Canvas sandbox course, and a schedule of Zoom sessions.

We look forward to working with you soon!
