Do you assign – or are you thinking of assigning – student blogging, podcasting, or other web-based assignments? Are you interested in exploring the possibilities of building or using Open Educational Resources? Do you have questions about protecting student privacy when working in the open web?

As part of the Middlebury College Center for Teaching, Learning, and Research’s January Pedagogy Series, DLINQ is excited to host Dr. Robin DeRosa for a conversation on teaching and learning in the open.  In this conversation, Dr. DeRosa and co-host Dr. Amy Collier (Associate Provost for Digital Learning, DLINQ), will guide participants in exploring the pedagogy and practice of teaching and learning in the open.

Dr. Robin DeRosa is a noted expert on Open Education. A professor of interdisciplinary studies at Plymouth State University, with a background in early American history, Robin’s work on Open Education has been published in Inside Higher Ed, Educause, Hybrid Pedagogy Lab, and others. She has recently given keynotes for the 2018 Pennsylvania Library Association Conference, the Technology Enabled Seminar and Showcase in Toronto, and the President’s Dream Colloquium at Simon Fraser University.

This is a hybrid event, taking place in Wilson Media Lab at Middlebury College, as well as via Zoom.
