Using Google Drive in a Writing Course with Associate Professor of Writing & Rhetoric, Hector Vila
Hector Vila exclusively uses Google Drive as his tool of choice in his writing classes. He starts by creating a course folder which includes sub-folders for ‘Syllabus & Handouts’ and for each student in the class. Within each student’s folder is a folder for each assignment with the assignment’s due date. He does this on his own because it is relatively quick to do and establishes uniformity within the folder structure.
Professor Vila describes his method further here:

Personal vs. Middlebury Accounts
You can choose to maintain a separate account for your personal use of any Google services under a non-middlebury.edu address. If you have multiple Google accounts, the username that appears at the upper right corner of most Google services will help you ensure that you’re using the intended account. Your Middlebury account includes unlimited file storage, while personal accounts are limited to 10 GB of storage space.
You can learn more about using Google Docs and Google Apps through these resources highlighted in the ITS Wiki. In addition, if you are experiencing technical difficulties accessing Google Apps for Edu at Middlebury, please contact the help desk. You can also contact us with questions and/or request a one-on-one consultation with a member of the DLINQ staff.
