Graduate Assistant: Masters in Translation and Localization Management, May 2018
Language of Study: Chinese
My name is Susan Wang aka “Susie Q” and I’m currently studying Translation and Localization Management with Mandarin Chinese as my language of study. I’m a Colorado native (Shout out to Boulder 303) and graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a Bachelors in Linguistics and Chinese. From 2012-2015 I taught Mandarin at Fairview High School. In 2015, I was at the Johns Hopkins-Nanjing University Research Center studying Chinese policy. In 2016 I hauled my life from Colorado and drove across three states to get to Monterey, California.
I’ve spent the last two years traveling around the world. From Tokyo to Taipei, Penang to Adelaide, Shanghai to Melbourne, San Francisco to Portland.
I love tasting new flavors, learning new ideas and experiencing places I’ve only seen on the silver screen. I love chatting about travel experiences and all things food.
You’ll probably find me out and about in the Pacific Grove area. When I have a moment, you’ll see me at the House of the Four Winds dancing the night away (Argentine Tango). Or you can find me at my house whipping up some honey lavender ice cream.
Swing by the DLC if you have any tech related questions, CAT Tools and anything else. I’ll do my best to help you and make sure you feel at ease with tech.
