This session will cover the basics of screen recording in Panopto, including:

  • providing examples of how videos can be used to support online teaching and learning
  • logging in and orienting to Middlebury Panopto platform
  • installing Panopto desktop recorder client
  • planning a screen recording and preparing media (e.g. slides)
  • options for screen recording voice over content (e.g. Powerpoint, Panopto client)
  • uploading videos to Panopto for sharing with class
  • video sharing and embedding options (Course Hub Panopto folder, embedding in Canvas)
  • preview of interactive features: video search, notes, discussion and quizzing
