Microsoft Teams and Slack are messaging and collaboration platforms that can be used to support class discussions, group work, community building, informal connections, and more. Some faculty have used Teams or Slack to centralize all course communications, replacing email and Canvas discussion boards. In this session, Middlebury College and Middlebury Institute for International Studies faculty will share their experiences using Teams and Slack in their courses, followed by a demo and comparison of the Teams and Slack platforms.
